process
Drawn en plein air and/or from memory, I treat a digital canvas same as I would a physical one: no digital effects, just a brush and color to the white canvas. I convey the fragile understated beauty of nature, focusing on light and expression of my personal feelings toward the subject.
inspiration/muse/subject
Nature is not only inspiration, it is the key to my soul’s survival, growth and joy. I focus only on recording fleeting moments. It can be a landscape, it can be a face; the actual subject isn’t that important.

Life moved me to New York City and away from painting, where for the past 20 years I have been working in the beauty industry. However, there are longings that cannot be escaped. Discovering Azores Islands and digital painting was the perfect combination. It gave me an unlimited supply of inspiration and the means to express it.
